BIRD DIVER
Welcome to the BirdDiver Atelier:
A hands-on artistic explorative workshop centred on designing and building bird structures. Be a solo creative within our program or participate in a group of up to four. Choose your local bird species to delve into. Roll the dice, pick your resources and create. Through this experience, you will gain knowledge in overlapping categories such as visual art, biodiversity, sustainability and the importance of upcycling. Our hope is that someday you may be inspired to become an artist within your own right, a leader in conservation, a champion in upcycling or even a birder. The world is yours to take care of and yours to create within. Welcome to BirdDiver.
What Bird Diver provides and encourages:
Design
Each party will have an opportunity to learn design fundamentals through material investigation, form and function, environmental design (permaculture) and primitive technologies.
Artistic Expression
The classroom will celebrate their artistic endeavours through teamwork and collaboration while exploring a creative strategy of implementing sculptural, painting and decorative concepts.
Environmental Awareness
Each individual will become aware of their ability to create a positive change in their local environment by learning about eco-literacy, circular economies, upcycling, micro-ecosystem identification and their role in biodiversity.
Hobbies & Interests
The participants will receive experience in crafting, woodworking, painting, decorating, and nature journaling, field sketching and of course birding!
